Short-term training includes :

• Internships
• Short courses (high level scientific stays)
• Scientific leave (up to six (06) months)
• Participation in scientific events

The categories concerned by the short courses are :

• Professors
• Non-salaried students enrolled in PhD (non-salaried PhD students)
• Students enrolled in Master 2.
• Administrative and technical staff of the university

Short courses

Short-term traineeships, enrolled in training programs of research institutions and organizations may be awarded up to the amount of the budgetary appropriations in this capacity at the operating establishment, after notification by the scientific council, for the benefit of research professors who justify:

1. A PhD thesis registration.
2. A work plan signed by the thesis director.
3. A letter of welcome to a university or research institution abroad with high scientific and technological capabilities.

Professors and lecturers class "A" and "B", can benefit, after advice from the scientific councils, of a short-term internship (scientific stay of high level) of a duration ranging from seven (07) to thirty (30) days by presenting :

1. A work plan.
2. A welcome letter at a university or research institution abroad with high scientific and technological capabilities.

The application file for a short-term fellowship must be submitted at the departmental level.

The folder contains:

1. An application for a short-term internship (nominative, signed) specifying the itinerary (plane journey) according to the model.
2. A copy of the certificate of doctoral enrollment for the current academic year for assistant teacher, teachers class A and B.
3. A work plan signed by the person concerned and co-signed by the thesis director for the teachers enrolled in the doctorate.
4. A signed work plan for teachers of the grade Professor, Lecturer A and B.
5. The original welcome letter (it will be returned to the beneficiary later).

Participation in scientific events

Professors and Senior Lecturers "A" and "B" may receive scientific leave of not more than seven (07) days duration for short-term training for participation in seminars and conferences if they justify an invitation to communicate in the framework of an international seminar or scientific congress.

The application file for a scientific leave must be filed at the departmental level.

The folder contains:

1. An application for scientific leave (nominative, signed) specifying the participation in an international seminar, or scientific congress specifying the itinerary (plane journey) according to the model.
2. Confirmation of participation
3. The text of the communication

Non-salaried students enrolled in PhD (non-salaried PhD students)

Students enrolled in doctoral programs (non-salaried doctoral students) may, as part of the training and development programs included in the institution's development plans, benefit from short-term internships within the limits of the budgetary appropriations available within the institution. PhD students selected by the scientific councils must fulfill the following conditions:

1. To be enrolled in a doctorate in accordance with the regulations.
2. Justify a research topic signed by the supervisor with a precise schedule of scientific work.
3. Justify the original letter of welcome from an academic institution or research abroad with high scientific and technological capabilities.

The application for a short-term fellowship must be submitted to the faculty level.

The folder contains:

1.  An application for a short-term internship (nominative, signed) specifying the itinerary (air travel) according to model.
2.  The original letter of welcome from an institution with university training or research abroad with high scientific and technological capacities (it will be returned later to its beneficiary)
3. Attestation of PhD enrollment for the current academic year.
4. Justification of a research topic targeted by the supervisor.
5. A certificate of unemployment (declaration on honor) legalized at the APC.

Students enrolled in Master

Students enrolled in Master 2 may benefit from short-term internships within the limits of the credits available within the institution concerned. Short-term internships for student mobility should be based on inter-university partnerships and international cooperation agreements. Students enrolled in Master 2 who are duly selected from the promotion majors by the relevant educational and scientific bodies must fulfill the following conditions:

1. Be regularly enrolled in master.
2. Justify a research topic targeted by the supervisor and a precise timetable of educational and scientific work.
3. Justify the original letter of welcome from an institution with university training or research abroad.

Administrative and technical staff of the university administrations

Civil servants classified at least in category 10 and above, the administrative and technical bodies of the central administrations, public institutions and research centers may, after consultation with the governing board of the institution concerned, receive advanced training courses abroad when they are not insured in Algeria.

The programming of professional development courses abroad included in the training and development plans of public institutions and research centers must be carried out on the basis of agreements concluded within the framework of international cooperation and inter-university partnerships.

Only candidates meeting the following conditions may be selected by the home institution:

1. Present a project for a professional development course with a reasoned opinion from the head of the institution and an opinion from the board of directors highlighting the expected impact and impact of this internship.
2. Present the original welcome letter from a university, research center or training organization abroad with high scientific and technical capacities and an efficient administrative organization with recognized references.

The application for a short-term fellowship must be submitted to the faculty level of the university.

The folder contains:

1. An application for a short-term internship (nominative, signed) specifying the itinerary (plane journey) according to the model.
2. A signed and validated work plan aimed by the hierarchy highlighting the expected impact and impact of this internship.
3. The original welcome letter (it will be returned to the beneficiary later)
